Clickbait is not how the real world works!
Every technology step up has resulted in a better productivity and creation of jobs that never existed before.
Demise of “older” jobs is also not as fast as it is made out to be. 17% of US Total non-farm payroll was employed in retail trade. In 1999 when 0.5% of retail transactions was transacted on the internet, we wrote obituaries for offline retail. 25 years later, retail jobs are down 30% but still employing over 1.5cr Americans, Walmart is at an all time high. The industry is the heart of the country’s economy, contributing around 10% of GDP and directly employing 170,000 people. Almost all the cars head abroad, making up around a third of Slovakia’s exports."
